Addie turned 6 this last week (April 15)!
I mean, I know I'm biased and everything, but how cute is she?!!
We had a little party for her at the gymnastics place here in Boerne a few weeks ago (had to have it early because it was the only time we could get the place).
A few of her friends came and they got the whole gym to themselves. They had a blast.....
rolling,
swinging,
The gymnastics lady helped Sam. He wasn't so sure about her...
We had cake and cookies afterwards...
And of course the candle. You have to know that Addie takes the "wishes" that she makes extremely seriously. Like a little too seriously. She closes her eyes and concentrates and kind of talks to herself a bit. Yesterday, she picked two different dandelions and stood in the rain while we were in the car waiting for her so she could make "wishes" and blow them.
Anyway, I have no idea what wish came after this picture, but I'm sure she made it count.

These are some of Addie's precious friends from school. She was so excited to get to spend her birthday with them. They are super sweet little girls.
This is one of my precious friends from school (soooo long ago). I was excited to get to spend some time with her too!

Addie is six.
I can't believe it. On her birthday we watched some old videos from when she was born until she was about two. And Oh. My. Goodness. was she so adorable and tiny. Big brown eyes and such a sweet gentle spirit. And of course a little fire too!
She hasn't changed that much.
Just grown about three feet (seriously, this girl is the tallest kid in her class!)
and developed a little bit more of an attitude.
But, all in all, she is that same precious little girl that changed my life 6 years ago.
Happy Birthday Addie!

How have I not checked your blog in SO long? I used to go to it regularly, and kept meaning to put it on Google Reader, but never did b/c I kept checking it anyway...then my computer time got away from me and BAM! I zip through reader and try to get to the other stuff later. Okay, I'm puttin' you on it tonight. Anyway, Addie's party looked so fun! I want to go in that rolling thing. And you and Kyle look like you just came out of English class, oh, THIRTEEN years ago. Maybe a little wiser... ;)
